"My work is mainly done in stone combined with fragments of photographs. I enjoy the challenge of working with heavy material and achieving thin and light jewellery pieces, fragile in appearance, but in fact very resistant. The process of working with stones and the selection of images take place synchronously. While I am cutting and carving a stone, I search for a connection between the stone and the images and a dialogue between the two arises. I see my pieces as a reflection of thoughts or images that are floating in my mind; while I picture some stories, my work emerges organically and intuitively, and my process does not have a formal narrative. My work has a distinct atmosphere influenced by themes of mystery, magic, nostalgia and silence."
